Iran Freedom and Support Act

In a letter addressed to Senator Rick Santorum, Ehsan Naraghi - 78 year old famous Iranian sociologist and former counselor to the General director of UNESCO - expresses his deep concern regarding the proposed Iran Freedom and Support Act of 2004.

Naraghi writes:

"Your [Americans] support would greatly tarnish the democratization process of a country that is - despite numerous problems - progressing in the right direction; Your support would only give the authoritarians the opportunity to accuse the freedom activists of complicity with the American Superpower and question [discredit] the integrity of their struggle."

It is worth to know that the mentioned Bill is supposedly designed to establish a program "to support a transition to democracy in Iran" and vows to allocate financial assistance to individuals and opposition organizations that meet the criterias of eligibility set by the american legislators!

One of the criterias is: To support the destruction of all prohibited stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iran :)

Doesn't this particular criteria alone suggest that all american-approved opposition groups or individuals presume de facto that Iran is, as we speak, in possession of WMDs?

Your cowardice is keeping millions and millions of Iranians oppressed and their pathetic, dictatorial theocracy in place.

You should be ashamed of being a party to such atrocities.

Yeah, the cowards that you are, you ought to give your Oil, and minerals away for free to Uncle Sam, and you too can be sodomised, beaten up, and tortured, by the friendly GI, while photographed for posterity! Freedom is the only thing you all need, and well that is all you need don't you?

The rantings of the lunatics, convey of a nerve that has been hit, and frayed nerves giving rise to frustration that is translated to the foaming keyboard warriors interjecting, and putting their penn'oth on the screen! What a waste of electrons, and what a waste of skin?
